Phase V - Water Treatment Plant
A contract was executed on September 15, 2008 between Somervell County Water District and the Engineering firm of Freese and Nichols, Inc. for professional services to perform final design and construction documents for a new membrane filtration/softening water treatment plant at the Wheeler Branch Reservoir. Capital Improvements for the project include a Water Treatment Plant and Ancillary Facilities and Treated Water Distribution and Storage Facilities. Design work should be completed by the fall of 2009 with work going out to bid at the end of 2009. It is expected construction will take approximately 12 months with construction complete at the end of 2010.
